Asset Location and Recovery:

Accurately determining the location of the actual assets owned or controlled by the parties, together with realistic valuation for recovery, is vital to every action for recovery.

We do not guess and we do not break laws.

IBIS obtains and documents information that can be used as a foundation to obtain necessary evidence, or if appropriate, information which can be directly presented as evidence in recovery proceedings.

IBIS uses various methods to determine and document assets, including:

• Identification of the probable location(s) of the assets;
• “Broad Spectrum” local database searches where available;
• Local research and investigations, including, where appropriate, discreet interviews with
  persons who have knowledge regarding the subject’s activities, associates habits and
  assets;
• Lifestyle surveillance and assessment of the subject’s principals;
• Lifestyle surveillance and assessment of the subject’s local agents;
• Surveillance and assessment of subject company premises;
• Identification of intact and converted assets;

IBIS then documents banking and asset recovery procedures in the significant domestic and foreign or off-shore locations, liaises with the local civil authorities and provides assistance with legally freezing, seizing and recovering the assets.

Branch Plant Compliance:

Working Behind Enemy Lines: The Branch Plant!

Anyone who has worked with a branch plant or branch office knows that it is not easy. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.

IBIS people have been working with Head Offices and Branch plants since 1976.

Sometimes, our work has resulted in branch plant employees or managers being sued and/or arrested. Sometimes, we have worked with the branch plant to increase resources, clear bottlenecks and improve profitability. Always, we have left our clients with positive feedback and assistance so the flaws in the system can be fixed.

Branch Plant Exploratory Services: A Security Survey, some discreet observations with video, and/or an IBIS Operations Audit™ provides an accurate “snapshot” of what is happening at the Plant, the good, the bad and the ugly, with recommendations for resolving current issues and preventing future problems.

Branch Plant Audit Services: IBIS personnel can perform a compliance audit your Branch Plant on location and report on whether or not they are in compliance with your policies and procedures.

IBIS Operations Audits™:

IBIS Operations Audits™ are a much enhanced and a greatly superior version of what used to be called an “undercover investigation”.

The undercover investigator works in secret with a cover background and identity and no one ever knows he or she was actually an investigator.

IBIS Operations Audits™ are done to a proprietary format, and address a myriad of concerns from theft and fraud, to company policy violations, to malingering, to infiltration of your work force by individuals with malicious intent, to supervision failure.

IBIS Operations Audits™ provide a “snapshot” and analysis of the company’s current operations, lifestyle, tone and morale from the vantage point of a line employee that is unavailable by any other method.

IBIS Operations Audits™ are designed to determine what is really taking place without impacting on or influencing events in any way, the operatives performing the Audit work in secret. Operatives are selected on the basis of their being able to fit in to the workplace without arousing suspicion, to perform their workplace job, and to accurately report on the events and activities they observe.

If there are criminal activities, IBIS, (in consultation with the client), can involve the IBIS General Investigation Section, the local police or other authorities to investigate, apprehend the perpetrators and lay charges as appropriate.

Where conduct breaches policy, IBIS will, at the conclusion of the project, assist the client to implement controls that make the undesirable conduct much less likely to occur in the future.

At the end of the Audit the operative leaves in the normal course of the client’s business and no one, except IBIS and the client, ever knows the IBIS Operations Audit™ was contemplated, was underway or has taken place.
